The Audi A2 was a car way ahead of its time. It was designed with a completely aluminium body for weight reduction, which coupled with small but efficient engines made it extremely economical to run – to the point that they are still able to compete with some of the greenest new cars on sale today. The unconventional styling was a departure for Audi at the time, but the A2 has aged extremely well and makes an ideal choice for someone looking for an economical and safe car which has the prestige factor – in this case the famous Audi badge!
The first thing to note about this superb little car is the high specification. Many A2’s come with the standard cloth interior, but this has been fitted with the rare full leather option (in fact, at the time of writing on Autotrader there are 81 A2 diesels for sale in the UK – only 6 of which have leather!) This particular feature really does make the car that bit extra-special and gives it a far more prestigious look and feel…
But that’s not it. The list of options on this superb little car continues to impress. Here are some of the main features:

This particular car is fitted with the superb Audi 1.4 litre turbo diesel engine – which is a very sprightly and capable engine and returns an average fuel consumption of 64mpg.
THE EXTERIOR:
The car is finished in glorious pearlescent Jaipur Red. This is a rare special-order colour and is a mix between red and orange. Also sometimes referred to as ‘Mars red’ (as in the planet). It’s a superb colour and really makes the car stand out and look that little bit extra-special.
The overall condition is excellent. There are a few minor age/mileage related marks around the car if you look very hard to find them, but the condition really is lovely – as the images should attest.
The car is fitted with 16†alloys wheels, and these are the 6 spoke versions. The car is fitted with Pirelli tyres, all except one (which had a puncture) which has an almost-new Nexen fitted.
THE INTERIOR:
As is to be expected from an Audi - the interior is very luxurious, far more so in many more modern small cars. And of course the grey full leather seats offer the icing on the cake, and perfectly compliment the Jaipur Red bodywork.
For such a small car it’s quite amazing how much space there is inside for the occupants. Everything has been extremely well-designed, and our Managing Director (at 6’ 5â€) can drive this car in perfect comfort!
The seats are finished in grey leather and all seats are in excellent condition. There are no tears, rips or stains and are exactly as they should be.
The boot is compact, but employs a twin-level design where there is a storage compartment under the floor of the main compartment. The rear seats also fold flat, and it’s quite amazing how much space there is in the rear with the seats down – especially for such a small car! The boot also contains the original first aid kit and CD changer.
SERVICE HISTORY:
The car has a FULL SERVICE HISTORY from new and comes complete with the stamped Audi Service Log book.
The car was fully serviced with 1st Class Marques at 140,533 miles. The next service is not now due for approximately another 10,000+ miles.
