The Audi RS6 is a driver’s dream-car. Not only are they extremely powerful, but they are also four wheel drive (Quattro) and offer superb handling coupled with an exhilarating driving experience.
At 1st Class Marques we’re RS6 enthusiasts, and it’s one of the models that we specialise in so it’s rare that if don’t have at least one RS6 in stock! We’re absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to present this stunning low mileage RS6, which is completely original with no modifications. In addition, the car runs absolutely brilliantly – without doubt one of the best-running and driving RS6’s we’ve ever had.
We have found that many people looking to buy RS6’s fall into one of two categories: the ones that specifically want modified cars, and the ones who are concerned and wary of modifications and would prefer to have a car exactly as Audi originally intended. However, finding completely original cars such as this is one is becoming harder and harder each year!
This car has wanted for nothing during its life, and we have a stack of paperwork and invoices with the car for various bits and bobs that have been done over the years. Notable large jobs that have been addressed included full replacement of the DRC suspension system by Audi Dulwich on 31/03/2009 at 37,772 miles. At the same time, Dulwich Audi also replaced the rear propshaft seal (a common issue on RS6’s)…
In addition, numerous smaller jobs have been carried out on the vehicle, but the above will give you an illustration of how well-looked after this car is. The car is supplied with a stack of paperwork from new, and was sold Audi used-approved from Audi Dulwich on the 12/01/2007 at 33,000 miles for £33,144.
Also worthy of mention the outstanding level of factory options that are fitted to this car! It’s important to remember that RS6’s have a very high spec to begin with and luxuries such as leather seats, sat nav, parking sensors etc are all factory standard. However, in addition, this one has been fitted with these additional factory options:
• TV reception (analogue only)
• Rear passenger window blinds
• Rear window blind
• Rear heated seats
The car is supplied with an extensive service history, and we have a stack paperwork with the car – perfect for preserving its heritage.
Another concern for potential RS6 owners is the cam belt change because it is very expensive on these cars (circa £1,200 + VAT), and should be done every 40,000 miles. But again this is not an issue at all on this car because the cam belt has recently been changed (see service history section below).
The car is finished in stunning metallic Avus Silver which really suits the lines of the RS6, and the car has full black leather interior and is absolutely packed with gadgets and gizmo’s (see the specification list below).
If you are after a low mileage and completely original RS6 – then this would make a very fine choice indeed!
THE EXTERIOR:
The car is finished in glorious metallic Avus Silver and is in excellent condition all-around. The paintwork has been protected by Diamond Brite paint protection system – and it really does show. The exterior really is in magnificent condition, and the car is exceptionally easy to wash and polish.
The car is fitted with the original 19†Audi RS6 alloy wheels, finished in the original factory silver. The brakes are also in good order, and the discs have been upgraded to the drilled versions from the RS6 Plus for additional stopping power. This is the only ‘modification’ to the car, but note that these are genuine Audi discs and do not require any modification to be fitted (they are ‘plug and play’).
The tyres are also in good order with plenty of tread remaining.
The car is finished with chrome trim around the windows, on the mirrors and also on the roof rails (which really does compliment the bodywork), and the car also has parking sensors on both the front and the rear – a very useful feature!
THE INTERIOR:
As is to be expected from a top of the range Audi sports model, the interior is sheer luxury and finished to the highest standard.
It’s worth noting that absolutely everything on the inside of the car is finished in black. The interior trims are all black carbon fibre effect, all leather inserts are black leather, and even the door handles (which are often in chrome) including surrounds etc are also black. So internally the original owner ordered everything as black from the factory.
The seats are finished in black leather, and all seats are in excellent condition. There are no tears, rips or stains and are exactly as they should be.
These are the official RS6 Recaro seats and the front seats are both electric. The seats are also heated – as are the rear seats!
The roof interior is completely lined with Alcantara (similar to suede) – which is in excellent condition – and this really is a luxurious touch that finishes off the interior beautifully.
The car has the full deluxe Sat Nav and entertainment system complete with TV (note: analogue TV so redundant within the UK now), and has both front and rear parking sensors. It has just about every gadget you can think of – check out the specifications list at the end – there’s simply too much to list here!
This is the Tiptronic model and so has the gear shift paddles on the steering wheel, so you can take manual control or let Auto take over for those lazy cruising days.
SERVICE HISTORY:
The car has a FULL SERVICE HISTORY from new and comes complete with the stamped Audi Service Log book.
The car was fully serviced with 1st Class Marques in November 2012. The next service is not now due for approximately another 9,500 miles.
If you are serious about RS6’s then you will know that it’s essential to ensure that the cambelt is changed. Well, we can confirm that the cambelt was changed at 51,027 miles in February 2012. Invoice for cambelt present and provided with the car…
Bearing in mind that the cambelt change is circa £1,200 + VAT this work should be considered as a major plus point for the future owner.
The original DRC suspension has been completely replaced by Audi Dulwich on the 31/03/2009 at 37,772 miles at a cost of £2,777.87. In addition, the rear propshaft seal was also replaced at the same time also by Audi Dulwich.
The extensive paperwork with the car confirms that any faults that came along were clearly handled quickly and regardless of expense – showing just how well looked-after and loved the car has been.

PREVIOUS OWNERS:
The car does have a slightly higher than normal number of owners, but we had a hunch that – due to the sheer condition and quality of the car – that the number shown on the V5 was technically incorrect, and so we contacted the DVLA (via the previous owner) and requested a list of previous keepers so we could check for any inconsistencies. We now have this official DVLA document stored alongside the history of the car...
Normally on an RS6 we would expect between 4-6 owners as many owners only keep their cars for 1-3 years typically. However, this car is showing 9 keepers in total – which is not in-keeping with a car of this quality and in this good condition and order.
We can confirm that the first owner was definitely Audi (i.e. ex demo). In addition to this it appears that one owner transferred the car from their company name to their personal name (we assume for tax or insurance benefit). Finally, it was owned by Santander for just three weeks in 2011 (we assume the car was on a Lease Purchase finance agreement of similar arrangement which came to an end). So effectively there are three keepers which can be 'removed' in effect, leaving it at 6 actual keepers - which is not at all uncommon for these cars.
From our experience when you get a slightly higher number of keepers you will get one or two owners who will have abused or do not upkeep the car. In this instance we have a car has been exceptionally lucky and has had owners who have all absolutely loved and cherished the car - and it really does show!
Either way, the car has clearly had 6 very good owners, which could be deemed better than a 3 owner car which has had one good owner and two neglecting owners.
This is the only slight downside point for the car, which is truly an exceptional example in every sense. We have priced the car accordingly to allow for this minor negative, and please note that for a car of this quality and mileage if the car had 3-4 owners we would retail it at £13,495. So if you can see beyond the number of owners you are getting an exceptional deal!
Please do not get too hung up on the number of owners shown on the V5. The car should be judged on its own merits and quality. We are absolutely confident that if you were told that the car had one owner from new, that upon seeing the car in-the-flesh you would not even question this claim for a second – it really is that good!
